CONDITIONS

Argument:

​

Write a free work for classical guitar (six strings) of a length between 3 and 5 minutes long.

 

​

Conditions:

​

1) The compositions must be unpublished, must not have won any other contest, and must not be considered by any other contest or by any other prize during the duration of this award.

​

2) In the case of dissemination of the winning work, the Guitar Festival of Venezuela and the Latin American Center of the Guitar reserve the right to exploit it in order to promote the winning composer and his work.

​

3) The Guitar Festival of Venezuela will have the right to publicly perform the first interpretation of all the selected pieces during a year after the results are announced (that is, until August 30, 2019) and to have exclusive rights of interpretation and recording of the winning piece during this period.

​

4) The registration fee for the Contest is $ 55 (fifty-five US dollars) for each work and can be paid directly by bank transfer or Paypal payment. If you are going to make a bank transfer, all bank fees must be covered by the participant.

​

5) The copyright will remain with the composer.

​

6) The International Composition Competition for Guitar of America is open to composers of all ages and nationalities.

​

7) The works must be for a classical six-string guitar (without the use of any additional technology).

​

8) Only unpublished and previously uninterpreted works can be submitted.

​

9) A composer is allowed to register up to a maximum of three (3) works, which must be registered separately.

​

10) Send to the email internationalcompetitionguitar@gmail.com the work to compete in PDF format and an MP3 interpretation (MIDI sequence or performed by a guitarist), the name of the contestant should not appear anywhere (neither in the score, nor in the mp3).

 

11) The pages of the work must be numbered and the title of the work must appear on each page.

12) Only registrations by email are accepted.

​

13) The registration fee is not refundable.

​

14) The start date for the reception of works is May 15, 2018 and the closing date on August 30, 2018.

​

15) The International Composition Competition for Guitar of America reserves the right not to award a prize in any of the places if it is considered by the body of the jury.

​

16) The winning entries will be announced on September 15, 2018 and the winners will be notified by email.

​

17) The decision of the members of the jury will be final and no clarification will be made about the result.

​

18) By participating in the contest and sending the registration by email, the composer contestant accepts the terms and conditions set out above.

​

19) The organizers of the competition reserve the right to exclude participants without appeal for any violation of the above conditions.

​

20) In case of any problem in relation to this contract composed of twenty (20) clauses, only its version in Spanish will be valid and the city of Caracas - Venezuela will be chosen as a special address for legal purposes.
